Nellemarie specialises in financial law and anti-money laundering legislation. Nellemarie finds her challenge in the practical translation of the maze of rules and open standards within financial law. She always takes a fresh look at solutions for her clients. 

Clients value Nellemarie for her hands-on mentality and goal-oriented approach. Coming from Zeeland, Nellemarie has a down-to-earth attitude, keeps both feet firmly on the ground and does not allow herself to be easily swayed. 

Nellemarie joined Finway from Van Benthem & Keulen where she was an associate in the advisory and transaction financial law (regulatory) practice. She was seconded to a large Dutch bank to provide support with client investigations/KYC under the Dutch Money Laundering Prevention Act (Wwft). Nellemarie also worked as an interim in-house lawyer for Rabobank in the field of MiFID II.
